At the recent World Flower Council Summit, delegates from across the globe were invited to head onto stage to give a mini demonstration and produce a floral design typical of their home country. Here, we start the round-up of the work created with the USA’s Lynn Hoffman.
Great Britain’s representative was Jayne Marsh who created this lovely martini glass design.
Eva Soo from Malaysia created a design that was unmistakeably Malaysian.
Chinese florist Meng Hua Xie drew much applause with this design.
SA Aninao represented Cambodia at the summit.
Japanese design is renowned for great form – Sachiko Smale’s arrangement was no exception.
Valentina Yann Mei Lo from Brunei created this interesting tropical design.
The first of two Russian entries – this one from Victoria Smirnova.
The second was designed by Boris Menyaylov.
Ilze Kaleja from Latvia conjured up this exquisite design.
Floristry in all styles was on show at the summit – Hamidah Abdul Karim from Singapore came up with this piece.
Sylvia Yim represented Hong Kong in the My Country demos.
Pancho Pantig from the Philippines created this typically exotic design.
Nasna Kahim came all the way from Indonesia to attend the summit.
And finally, from closer to home, Dutch florist and tutor Jacqueline Boerma was also on hand to show off her skills.
