Florist hitting the treadmill for charity
Following the news story that we wrote in November, Michelle Buckle who owns Beauty of Flowers in Derby, is now only five days away from running 200km in 24 hours!
Speaking to FandWB online, Michelle commented: “I’m ready to go now, I can’t wait! I’m so nervous, but now’s the time for those nerves to be controlled, as I still have a few days to go.”
Michelle is aiming on raising £10,000 for three charities: Cancer Research UK, Diabetes UK and Moshi Children’s Orphanage in Tanzania.
“I’m raising money for a very good cause, so any more sponsorship that I can get I would be so grateful for. We’re getting there when it comes to the £10,000, and it would be amazing if I knew I had the full amount to give to the charities during my 24 hour run!”
Michelle’s trainer has told her that she has to keep it steady this week, with no more running until Friday. Her run begins at 10pm on Friday 27th January, and will finish on Saturday at 10pm. For more information and to place a donation, visit www.two4run.com
