The winners of the FloraHolland Glazen Tulp Award 2012 have been announced, with this year’s innovative new products all about the consumer.

The event took place in Noordwijk, Netherlands, with the awards given to the most successful introduction to the market. The four categories were cut flowers, houseplants, garden plants and sales concepts, with jury chairman and television personality Rob Verlinden announcing the winners.

Growers are becoming more and more aware of the consumer, giving exporters the chance to surprise their customers with products that are inventive and different for the market place, resulting in flowers and plants that are up to date with current trends and fashions.
