Lorraine Key becomes new GM for eFlorist
Ian Brett has decided to leave eFlorist after six years as MD. During his tenure, Ian has been responsible for transforming Teleflorist, a flower relay company, into eFlorist and the florist services business it is today.
Lorraine Key, currently Head of Retail at eFlorist, will take over with immediate effect as Regional General Manager for UK and Ireland. In 2010, eFlorist merged with EuroFlorist and UKI is one of three operational hubs, the other two covering Scandinavia and Central Europe.
Speaking yesterday, Ian said: “This was possibly the hardest decision I have ever had to make in my life. It’s been a fantastic journey and one that I have thoroughly enjoyed. The thing about journeys though is eventually they must come to an end. I have come to a point now where I seek a new challenge.”
Lorraine added: “I have some large shoes to fill but I am excited by this challenge and the opportunities that lie ahead. We look forward to working closely with our florists in 2012 and to presenting some exciting new products and services to help make their businesses successful. Ian will be missed both as an MD and as a friend to all at eFlorist and I would like to take this opportunity to thank him and wish him well for the future.”
