Liverpool florist chosen by DuchessAs excitement spread across Liverpool about the arrival of the Duchess of Cambridge to the city, one local business will was busy putting the finishing touches to an extra-special commission, with The Dutch Flower Shop chosen by the Duchess to provide the decoration for her visit.

The Brink is the UK’s only non-alcohol bar, and played host to the Duchess of Cambridge as part of her ongoing commitment to the charity Action on Addiction. Kate was presented with her own bouquet – a delightful bunch of beautiful red roses to mark Valentine’s Day, which follows something of a royal tradition as the long-established business has also provided flowers for the Queen on four occasions, Lady Diana and the Duchess of Cornwall.

Lorraine Whittle, owner of The Dutch Flower Shop, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that The Dutch Flower Shop provided the Duchess of Cambridge with flowers for her visit to the city. We used a selection of stunning red roses of varying sizes to create a beautiful arrangement at The Brink. We also created a smaller bouquet for the Duchess, featuring the same flowers – all perfect for Valentine’s Day.

“The trial bouquet was raffled at the shop on 14 February, so customers had the chance to win their very own Duchess bouquet too, with all proceeds donated to Action on Addiction.”
